Owned by the same family for many years, Newholme has been completely redecorated in the past few years but still retains its elegant characters with lovely antiques and Persian rugs. Screened from the road by lush trees and bushes, Newholme’s one acre garden offers privacy and tranquility. Guests can play croquet on the large south-facing lawn or stroll in the sunken garden. When in season, guests are encouraged to pick fresh strawberries or raspberries from the garden.
Bookings are generally available from Saturday (after 3 p.m. ) to Saturday (check-out 10.00 a.m. ) and prices are for bare house rental. Check late availability and weekend break availability on our Offers page.
Vehicle rental, activities bookings, provisioning of food and wine and a full or part-time cook can be arranged upon request.
Our cook, Amanda, is Cordon bleu trained and has been in the catering business since 1984 and has an impressive resume of catering for boardrooms, sporting lodges and numerous functions from a naturist wedding reception to a fisherman’s feat in a rowing boat!
