Newholme is a large, classic Edwardian residence which has been extensively renovated and redecorated over the past few years. The house has central heating and three coal/log fires.
Living - Large entrance hall; spacious, elegant drawing room, formal dining room with table for 12 and door into the garden, cozy morning room with door to sunny veranda, the rockery and the lawn (all three rooms have coal and wood burning fireplaces). TV/Video Sat/Cable, DVD ,Stereo, Broadband Internet Access (bring your own laptop) are available in the morning room. There is a brand new shower room with WC/basin on the main floor. For your convenience we have three bathrooms.
Kitchen - The kitchen has been newly remodeled with industrial size gas range, fridge and dishwasher, country style cabinets, central island and attached table, and pine flooring. Even the keenest gourmet cook will find the kitchen extremely well equipped (our cook Amanada loves to cook here!) A freezer is available in a separate larder, while the large, new utility room has washers and drier and a pulley for drying clothes.
Sleeping - Upstairs there are six bedrooms, three of which can be made up as either two single beds or one super-king double per room. One further room is a dedicated twin room and two single rooms each have double beds which can be used as singles or doubles. In total the house sleeps 10 comfortably or 12 using the single rooms as doubles. The four main bedrooms have washbasins in the room. Each bedroom has been recently redecorated and refurbished. There are two upgraded bathrooms, one with separate shower and tub, the other with bath/shower, plus a separate WC. Bed linen is provided.
Outside - Extensive 1 acre outside gardens, including a patio area with garden furniture and private car park. Extensive one acre garden screened by mature trees, sunken garden with pond, rockery, large lawn, vegetable/herb garden, herbaceous border, strawberry frames, patio area with garden furniture.
