The devastation of the trees at Newholme and the subsequent clearing up has taken far longer that expected. As Newholme uses logs for the open fires in the winter it is expected that all the felled wood will be used and split for the house. This work is taking much longer to achieve than first forecast , however this coming week will see the renewed efforts to tackle some of the more dangerous trees that are hanging against other trees and boundary fences. This will take some time, but a great deal, probably 70% of the damaged trees have been removed.Some more pictures will follow shortly.
